Blooming Newmarket's Mission and Vision.
Mission Statement
Blooming Newmarket is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of Newmarket’s public spaces through volunteer-driven gardening efforts. Our mission is to cultivate a love for gardening, foster community engagement, and promote environmental stewardship by planting and maintaining public gardens. Through our efforts, we aim to inspire civic pride and encourage greater appreciation and care for the local landscape.
Vision Statement
Our vision is a vibrant and flourishing Newmarket where public gardens serve as a source of beauty, community connection, and education. We aspire to create a welcoming environment that encourages residents of all ages to participate in gardening, fostering a deep-rooted appreciation for nature and sustainable landscaping practices. Through our initiatives, we envision a town where green spaces thrive, enriching the lives of all who live, work, and visit Newmarket.

Educational Events
We host workshops and guest speaker events at the Newmarket Public Library and other venues, covering topics such as sustainable gardening, landscape design, composting, and pollinator-friendly planting. These events are open to all community members and provide hands-on learning experiences.

Annual Plant Sale
Our highly anticipated Plant Sale takes place in late May or early June and serves as Blooming Newmarket’s main fundraising event. Featuring a diverse selection of flowers, herbs, and vegetables, this event is a great opportunity to find beautiful, locally grown plants while supporting a greener community. All proceeds go directly toward maintaining and expanding Newmarket’s public gardens, ensuring they continue to thrive for everyone to enjoy.

Volunteer Events
We offer numerous opportunities throughout the year for residents to learn and have fun with like-minded people. These events include visits to other gardens, museums, and farms, as well as seasonal plantings, garden clean-ups, and beautification projects. Volunteering with us is a great way to connect with fellow garden enthusiasts while making a tangible impact on the community
